Joe Connelly, Alderman, Ward 6, City of Calgary has launched tellJoe.ca to gather opinions from Calgarians. The surveys on this site will change and its intent is to gather Calgarians' thoughts on issues that arise on Council's Agenda throughout the year. This first on-line survey is very timely as Council soon enters budget deliberations.

I am interested in your ranking of the existing 25 Council priorities set for 2009 – 2011 for the City of Calgary. Share what is important to you so I can better represent Calgarians at the City Council table – especially as we head into budget discussions.

I have a hard-working team of volunteers behind the scenes assisting me with this process of engaging with the community. Although I won’t be able to personally respond to each posting or question, it is not because I don’t value your opinion – but rather I am asking for your understanding of time limitations.

This will be an ongoing process with a series of surveys and polling questions on current events and civic issues We are listening to your feedback for “what” the topics should be…it’s your clarity we seek!

I am confident this community engagement process will bring us great ideas. Our team is looking forward to a genuine dialogue with you!
